The Quilon restaurant in London SW1 wins Michelin star for fourth year running
London: The Quilon restaurant (Quilon) in Buckingham Gate, London SW1, has retained its Michelin star for the fourth consecutive year. It was first gained in 2008. Chef director Sriram Aylur has established an international reputation for Quilon and a loyal clientele who come for its progressive, delicate southwest coastal Indian cuisine. Its award-winning wine list, five- and eight-course beer matching menus and a 50-strong whisky list also attract discerning drinkers.
Quilon is centrally located within 100 metres of Buckingham Palace, and is the fine dining restaurant of the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces five-star hotel, 51 Buckingham Gate.
The next special event hosted by Quilon is a most unusual whisky dinner on Monday, February 1, 2011. This rare and intimate dinner is for fans of fine spirits and gourmets alike. It will be hosted by whisky expert and acclaimed author Dominic Roskrow. Tickets are priced at a very attractive £59.50 per person. It comprises a whisky celebration cocktail, tutored tasting of four super-premium whiskies including a whisky rarity, three-course dinner and service.
