Taj Group's Quilon voted best Indian restaurant in London at Bookatable Awards
The restaurant also won the most innovative and exciting wine list at CNJ Taittinger UK Awards
Quilon has been voted the Best Indian Restaurant in London at the first ever Bookatable Restaurant Awards this month. This is the second victory in 2015 for the restaurant, which also won Most Innovative and Exciting Wine List 2015 at the Condé Nast Johansens Taittinger UK Wine List Awards.
The Bookatable Awards are based solely on verified reviews from diners that have visited the restaurant first hand. 150,000 reviews and star ratings from the Bookatable website were analyzed to form the final decisions. Michelin-starred Quilon joins other London institutions like The Ritz, which won in the Top restaurant and Top British restaurant categories and Amalfi, which won Best Italian restaurant in London.

At the Condé Nast Johansens Taittinger UK Wine List Awards, the panel of judges described Quilon’s wine offering as “a list that is truly innovative in its categorization and one that encourages the diner to set off on a journey of discovery. A top quality list.”

Quilon solicited the assistance of Peter McCombie, Master of Wine to compile the wine list to accompany the sophisticated spicing and flavours of the menu. While all of the wines on Quilon’s list have been chosen because of their quality and character, the primary goal was to find wines that offered drinking pleasure. As well as a strong selection of classics, certain styles and origins are particularly well represented because they are versatile and complement Quilon’s cuisine well.
