Summer music season at 51
Across set weekend dates (Friday and Saturday evenings) throughout July and August, The Courtyard will present opera, classic hits of the West End and West End contemporary favourites, accompanied by a three-course meal including freshly prepared Greek-style salad with herb dressing and crostini, gin braised lamb shank in an olive passatta, Mediterranean vegetables and a truffled herb mash, and iced honeycomb parfait with mandarin compote, served a selection of fine wines and champagnes throughout the evening.
Opera in The Courtyard will be performed by UK-based Viva Live Music, who bring over 25 years of operatic experience including private events for royalty, broadcasts on BBC1 and Radio 3, as well as performances at The Royal Albert Hall, Symphony Hall Birmingham and The Royal Opera House. Viva Live Music’s quartet — comprising a soprano, mezzo, tenor and bass — will pay tribute to opera classics such as La Traviata’s Brindisi, Don Giovanni’s La ci darem and Lakme’s Flower duet.
Catering to those preferring musical classics of a different ilk, The Courtyard will welcome From Sweden Productions who will present the British vocal group Cantabile – The London Quartet, joined at the piano by Chris Hatt, musical director of Billy Elliot — The Musical. Over two set weekends in July and August, Cantabile — The London Quartet will perform classic musical hits from productions such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon and West Side Story. The London Quartet has a long and celebrated musical pedigree, appearing in Tim Rice’s musical Blondel, which re-opened the renovated Old Vic Theatre; producing an EMI album Music of the Night with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s principal orchestrator, David Cullen, and touring extensively with over 100 annual performances worldwide.
Bringing a modern touch to The Courtyard, Soprano Bella Entertainment will deliver West End contemporary favourites from shows such as Grease, Wicked, Mamma Mia and Priscilla – Queen of the Desert. Performed by genuine West End stars including Katrina Murphy, Johnny Amobi and Rob Archibald, Soprano Bella’s collective experience includes lead roles in Grease and Dancing in The Streets, performing across the UK, the USA and in Dubai.

Seated tickets are available from £75 per person, including the performance, a three-course dinner and drinks.
Standing tickets on the Terrace will be available for £10 (performance only).
